Not really an official, thoroughly worked-on post here, just something random I discovered during some brief downtime.
Apparently, you don’t have to mine gravel blocks one by one in Minecraft. Placing a stone pressure plate underneath an area of soon-to-fall gravel blocks automatically harvests them, no pick needed!

So yeah, weird. This also might work with other materials that are influenced by gravity: sand.
